Learn about free resources for identifying new foundation prospects, qualifying and disqualifying, and finding contact information and connectors to foundation staff. This presentation is foundation prospecting 101 and geared toward people who have little or no experience researching foundation prospects, or those who would like a refresher on their foundation prospecting skills. Originally developed to guide program staff at small nonprofits that don’t have subscription prospect research resources, this presentation leans heavily on using Foundation Directory at a library through Candid’s Funding Information Network, but also covers other free resources available on the internet. Come ready to learn or share your own favorite free resources.
