The Ashesi University Foundation works in partnership with Ashesi University in Ghana, a liberal arts institution striving to educate ethical, entrepreneurial leaders in Africa. The Seattle-based foundation amplifies the university’s impact by raising funds and building a global community of supporters who are dedicated to contributing to an African renaissance.
The Director of Prospect Management and Research is a key member of Ashesi’s advancement program, and works with an international team of staff, trustees, and advocates to organize information and inform strategies to advance Ashesi University through philanthropy. This position will establish and maintain an effective and modern system for prospect management and research, and will manage the flow of prospects in and out of portfolios and through the donor pipeline. They are expected to work independently and collaboratively on processes associated with research and ongoing relationship management. These processes include: defining and implementing methods to evaluate and drive portfolio productivity; facilitating the development and tracking of individual fundraising strategies; and helping ensure the effective and timely capture of relationship management data, including actions, discovery information, and wealth indicators, collected through constituent interactions.

Prospect Management Strategist

The Prospect Management Strategist is responsible for partnering with frontline fundraisers to build their effectiveness by capturing major gift prospect activity in the prospect management system. The strategist promotes and interprets the Prospect Management policy, provides training and learning programs, advises on frontline metrics goals, and analyzes proposals, contacts, portfolios, and other major gift prospect data to help maximize returns from solicitations for private gifts and grants.
