Associate Director, Corporate Engagement

Seattle, WAThe Associate Director, Corporate Engagement serves on the Institutional Giving team as part of the Philanthropy department and reports to the Director of Corporate Engagement. The Associate Director will be responsible for the development of strategic partnership opportunities for a portfolio of current corporate donors who support special events, programs and research at Fred Hutch as well as developing a portfolio of new corporate donors. Engagement and collaboration with the Institutional Giving team, as well as other teams within Philanthropy, Fred Hutch faculty, staff and leadership is expected. Some travel, weekend and evening work may be required. This position does not have direct report management responsibilities.

We seek an experienced fundraising professional who is both passionate and persistent. This position oversees a diverse portfolio with room to grow in major gifts work. In conjunction with our Executive Director, this person will be one of the most public-facing members of the team.
The successful candidate will have at least four years of experience in engaging donors, funders, and sponsors. They will work closely with our Executive Director, Operations Manager, and Program staff, on fundraising tasks such as events, year-end campaigns, fundraising planning, and more. We are especially interested in someone who loves social justice work, has a passion for youth leadership, and wants to promote student voices with authenticity.
This role will help us stop turning away students who cannot afford our life-changing programs. Our current operating budget is $970K. Most of our revenue is program income and, as we have not had an experienced development professional before, we are looking to increase non-program revenue next year through the combination of: major gifts, annual appeals, monthly giving, events and grants.
