Data Analyst 

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center

The Data Analyst is part of the Advancement Services (AS) team and reports directly to Chief Philanthropy Executive, Advancement Services. The 23+ member AS team manages and analyzes an extensive donor/prospect databases with more than 600,000 constituent and prospect records combined. AS helps maintain and strengthen the Philanthropy infrastructure while stressing the importance of quality data collection, centralized acknowledgement and gift handling, outstanding prospect management and research, valuable analytics and reporting, innovative software integration, campaign readiness, Luminate TeamRaiser web production, and database administration, integrity, and training.

The Database Analyst uses various specialized data sources (RENXT, RE, Luminate Online, Greater Giving) and software applications to extract data, create reports, and create Excel datasets. The analyst prepares accurate and timely data sets that enable Philanthropy to execute mailing campaigns, mail invitations, reconcile data pools, and report on outcomes. The Philanthropy team designs and evaluates fundraising strategies based on analyst projects. In addition, this position helps maintain data workbooks that improve philanthropy operations, streamline business practices and reduce staff time and effort. A variety of special projects are associated with this position.

This role is also responsible for interacting with the customer base in the gathering and documenting of reporting requirements. The Data Analyst monitors shared work queue resources at all times for email and mailing deadlines.

Director of Prospect Development

The Director of Prospect Development is responsible for ensuring that the fundraising efforts of Seattle University are fully supported with information and analysis about current and potential major gift donors. The Director takes the lead in developing and refining innovative models for the identification, qualification, and tracking of Seattle University’s major donor prospects. This role includes database management as it pertains to prospect information, designing reports and metrics on development officer activity, and developing internal processes and policies. The Director provides leadership and oversight of data analysis in support of strategic planning, advising on such things as prospect identification for fundraising priorities, fundraising capacity building, goal setting and performance management.

Advancement Services Manager
Southern Oregon University

Southern Oregon University (SOU) is looking for an experienced, analytical, and results oriented professional to fill the position of Advancement Services Manager. This position is responsible for the daily operation of the Advancement Services department, primarily working with the advancement data system (The Raiser’s Edge), which tracks gift/financial and biographical information on alumni, friends, and donors. This position focuses on data management; data retrieval and reporting; gift entry and acknowledgement; data security; and other day-to-day functions of advancement services. The Advancement Services Manager must be able to successfully balance multiple priorities, provide excellent service to staff and donors, and demonstrate strong analytical skills. Further, the Advancement Services Manager will be expected to have strong project management and communication skills. Assignments will be varied and shifting of priorities to meet business demands should be expected. Additionally, this is a key position to analyze trends, help to improve systems and performance, and effectively implement procedures to support the growth, development, and retention of donors and alumni.

Reporting to the Director of Advancement Services, the individual in this role works closely with each member of SOU’s development team.

Associate Director, Corporate Engagement

The Associate Director, Corporate Engagement serves on the Institutional Giving team as part of the Philanthropy department and reports to the Director of Corporate Engagement. The Associate Director will be responsible for the development of strategic partnership opportunities for a portfolio of current corporate donors who support special events, programs and research at Fred Hutch as well as developing a portfolio of new corporate donors. Engagement and collaboration with the Institutional Giving team, as well as other teams within Philanthropy, Fred Hutch faculty, staff and leadership is expected. Some travel, weekend and evening work may be required. This position does not have direct report management responsibilities.
